Sri Lanka Beat New Zealand in Last ODI, Kiwi Won Series by 4-2

Sri Lanka Beat New Zealand by 34 runs in Last ODI of their 2014-15 New Zealand Tour, however Black Caps managed to claim ODI Series by 4-2 of 7 match series. Sangakkara helped his team to put a challenging target of 288 in 50 overs. He left unbeaten on 113, Dilshan was the other top scorer from his side with 81 runs inning.

From Westpac Stadium, Wellington, Sri Lankan Tigers won the Toss and decided to bat first, Thirimanne and Dilshan put together a solid opening stand of 71 runs by the end of 14t over when Anderson picked up Thirimanne, his contribution in 71 runs include 30 came from 41 delivers including 4 boundaries.

Sangakkara joined Dilshan and the pair added another 104 runs partnership for second wicket which came from just 105 deliveries, rest of batsmen also contributed to total including Jayawardene 14, Parsanna 1, Chandimal 5 and Perera 20. Kulasekara remained not out on 12.

Core Anderson took 3 wickets from 9 overs, however he bears 59 runs for this.

In response  New Zealand lost Guptill on very first ball when Kulasekara picked him up for LBW, Latham was next to go on a total of 11 followed by Taylor when Kiwis just crossed 42 runs on board.

Elliot and Williamson added 59 runs for 4th wicket, Chameera broke this partnership with the help of Chandimal, Core Anderson contributed quick 29 with his bat, while Ronchi’s inning include 47 runs who remained top scorer from his side. Ronchi and Vettori added 74 runs to keep his team up, but didn’t manage enough to claim yet another victory in series.
