New Zealand out class Pakistan in first ODI against
Pakistan, Before This, New Zealand has also beat Sri Lanka by 4-2 in a Seven
ODI Series. Today, Black Caps won the toss and put Pakistani players to bat
first, Pakistan lost Hafeez in very first over Mills Bowled him.
Before the end of Power play, Pakistna also lost its second opener at 29.
Younis Kahn once again left his team in crisis and scored only 9 from 26 balls.
Haris Sohail was next to return to Pavilion at the total of 81. Umar akmal and
Sarfraz couldn’t add anything special to total, and Pakistan was struggling to
put a defending total on board.
However Misbah and Afridi tried their best, the pair added
71 runs for 7th wicket of which most of the runs came from Afridi’s
bat. On second last ball of the 42nd over, Misbah also lost his
hope, he scored 58 runs on 87 balls including 4 boundaries and 2 maximums.
Afridi was last batsman to return to pavilion, he scored
quick 67 of just 29 balls, while he crossed 50 on just 21 balls, his innings dominated
by 9 boundaries and 3 maximums. Pakistani team was all out on 210 and they even
couldn’t manage to play 50 overs.
In response, New Zealand achieved target of 211 easily,
opening stand of 31 runs push the Kiwis to chase low target, they lost second wicket
75 (Latham 23) while Guptill returned to pavilion after adding 39 runs. At this
time, Pakistani Bowlers can make a comeback, however Taylor and Elliott put their
team to winning track and returned unbeaten. Taylor added 59 runs to his name,
while Man of the Match G Elliott scored 64 runs, he also picked up 3 wickets including
Misbah, Akmal and Adil.
